ANTIQUE INSPECTION (ANTIQUE AUTHENTIFICATION)
National Treasures of China are not allowed to be shipped outside of the country. Anything that might resemble antiques may be subject to an antique inspection which is performed by a Customs authorised organisation. If the item is confirmed not to be an antique, a “Non-antique certificate” is issued and a copy will be given to Chinese Customs for declaration.
If you have any items that you believe might be a genuine antique we might request a picture of the said article and submit it for a quick check. This will determine if an inspection is required.
Please remember not all antiques are deemed a “National Treasure of China” and with a certificate that your authorised antique dealer can issue you should have no problems. ESL is happy to assist with any aspect of your move.
